Gazing Through My Bedroom Window

About a year into the pandemic I started taking images with my Rolliflex camera. Taking my time with film since that was what I had a lot of. Purposely limiting my scope to what I saw from my bedroom windows. I have three windows and doors with windows to the balcony. Three are also two windows facing Austin’s house. Week after week I tried different angles, time of day, and focus. The first pictures were all purposely our to focus, to show my longing for movement in my static pandemic life. The next phase was taking exact images, totally in focus with perfect lighting.  I chose to frame these pieces to show an exact and finite image, giving the images another level of transcendence and depth.
